The Wider proposal is for The Covered Market to be regenerated, doing so with the continued use of re-purposed cargo containers, the hope was for it to be

regenerated in line/parallel with the regeneration of Ridley Road market (which has been made

possible by Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan’s grant of £770,000 to the market, which was then

matched by the Town Hall, totalling £1.5 Million pound to spend on the regeneration of Ridley Road

Market).

As part of the regeneration of The Covered Market, we are initiating that a space

within The Covered Market will be purpose built and used for an activity that will

promote community cohesion, respect for our neighbour and act as a cultural

exchange where anyone can go to learn about, understand the experiences of, and

come together with others.
